Oh Happy Day!!

Jackie, Emma and Tayler
December 20th Tyler and Jackie graduated!  Tyler has his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Jackie has her Associates in General Studies.  We didn't find out until the end that Jackie could have walked and they would have read her degree in the same building as Tyler's. It was a very nice program and I was impressed with the way BYU-I did the graduation.

December 23rd we finished loading up their stuff and headed over to subway for some quick breakfast :)  Tyler got a job in Orem and they will be living in Pleasant Grove :)

Judy
My sweet sweet sister Judy came down to help.  I often say this but I seriously love my family.  Judy always always goes the extra mile and I love her dearly.
Emma
I hope Jackie and Tyler can find everything after we unloaded boxes for them :)
The new apartment will be so nice for them.  Two bedrooms will be heaven :)  I'm so excited for them. So many great thing's await them this year from the new job to the BABY coming in June.....so so much to look forward to. I was so glad we were able to come to the graduation and to help them move to Utah.  I miss them like crazy but I love that they have family close by that can help them and love them when I can't.

Emma wanted to make a snow angel because who know's when she will see this much snow again :) It was great spending time with them and super hard to leave them but we always have this summer and any other times I can make it to Utah to see them.  We made it home Christmas Eve and had a wonderful Christmas.

October

George on the tour at Roloff farms
At the beginning of the month Judy and Marc came to visit :)  They brought beautiful weather with them too :)  Marc has been a fan of Little people, big world.  We went to the Roloff farms here in Hillsboro to see if we could see any of the family.  We did see Amy but actually got pictures with Matt.  It was a successful visit :)

One of our favorite places at Seaside :)  I couldn't believe Judy had never been there so we went and tried on a billion hats :)

Tayler's Senior Pictures

Which one do you like? What a day.  The picture below shows more of what I had to deal with while trying to get these.  Of course I liked that over the bad attitude. I think we got some good ones though and I like them a lot.

2013 NorthWest Nationals

Post continued below ;-)

NHRA NW Nationals

George has always wanted to go to the NW Nationals in Seattle. So this year we decided to go. Marc is a huge fan and said if we ever went to give him a call. It was a little inconvenient since it was the day after our Family Reunion. I'm glad that Marc and Judy came to show us the rope's :)  It was kind of funny before the nitro dragsters Marc had told Judy to watch George and I not the race.  I guess we put on quite a show.  The  alcohol cars were really really loud but the nitro cars were......super deduper loud :) The cars get up to 325 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds.  So yeah just a little impressive. We all had ear plugs in and it was still really loud.  Our seats rumbled, the percussion from the exhaust hit us like a brick wall, it actually made us move backwards, it actually kind of hurt me.  George says it makes his sub woofer seem nonexistent or puts it to shame :)

One of the perks of going to the races is that everyone gets to walk around the Pits or Nitro Alley.  The cars are being worked on and started up (really loud and made our eyes water) but interesting.
George Young and John Force
The drivers come out and sign things and take pictures with the fans. George was most excited by the Force family.  I had no idea who they were. I know more now :)
Courtney Force and Lora Young
We had seats really close to the starting line, where the Christmas Tree is. We had little black specks all over us after the races.  We aren't sure if it was oil or pieces of tire or what but like I said when the Nitro cars went we were hit with a wall of something :)

I totally think Jesse James is a scum bag but he was there watching his wife race. I think I will leave it at that.

George got quite a few signatures, totally made his day :)

The last day as we were leaving the Force cars were out and we could walk right up to them.  Look in them and everything.  I was impressed that they would let that happen.  It was definitely an experience.  I am glad we did it and had more fun than I thought I would.  I would do it again.  Maybe next year :)
