Church

Today at church a man stood up during fast and testimony meeting and told us that he was not a member but had been prompted to come to our church. He says that he likes what he sees at our church more than others and he is impressed that we like our children and we aren't bothered by them. He also said he thinks we are very smart to be prepared, that we will need that some day, he thinks days not years. Who knows about that right, but it was just interesting to hear.

I was just impressed that for one he was prompted to come to our church and two he stood up in front of us all and let us know what he thought about us. He was a very nice man, I enjoyed hearing what he thought about us. Sometimes all we hear is bad so it was refreshing to hear this man.

It seems like the theme today was our youth, I am very thankful for all the youth programs we have. Personal Progress and Girls camp, Duty to God and Scouts, Youth conference, EFY all of these things keep our youth busy doing worth while things. If they are doing what they are supposed to be doing they are way less likely to get in trouble. Sometimes I just need that extra reminder to make sure I have a good attitude about everything. Sometimes I get tired of our activites every tuesday night, so I just needed this little reminder (again) of how important these activities are.

How cool. We had a good fast and testimony meeting yesterday also.
In our ward we have had some baptisms lately but we never see them again so it is neat to hear about the man at your ward yesterday.

Wow... I think in all honesty I would be a bit nervous as to what he was going to say/do. That's wonderful that he was so complementry to the ward/church. We have some "interesting" testimonies in our ward from new members (sometimes from those who were raised in the Church even) that it keeps you awake.

Never will I forget the testimony given the Fourth of July weekend where the brother told us how the indians ate his pickled great-great grandfather. Remember that?

Dave bore his testimony... he realized that he blessed and passed the sacrament to Devin so he could pass it on to the congregation. It was a first time and something he didn't realize the signifigance of until after it happened.

Let's hope it's not days!
