First before I say anything else, let me say I am so thankful for the men that are willing and able to take time off of work for a week to take my son to scout camp. Now that I have said that, let me tell you how much anxiety I feel for that week. I worry that my son is warm, well fed and not lost somewhere out in timbuktu. Every horror story we hear as mother's comes to haunt us while our sons are out in the wilderness. I was so happy to see Tayler, walking and smiling. It is such a relief. Not that I don't trust Men or anything. I am almost certain though that had a woman been at camp my son's back wouldn't look like this.

Ohhhhhhhh! that looks ouchy. And I don't know if I'd give women too much credit . . . at least this particular woman (me)!!! My boys went off to frolick in the water park here and I forgot to put a lick of sunscreen on them! I was hoping and praying that they wouldn't get burnt to a crisp. I didn't want my french student going back to his parents looking like Tayler does! My praying paid off . . . they are none the worse for wear, but it doesn't have anything to do with what I did, Thank you Heavenly Father!
I bet tayler had fun anyway. What is a little burn once in awhile to make you remember to use sunblock the next time.
I am glad that he made it home! I am sure that was a LONG week for you. I'm sure he had a great time! I still have NEVER been a night away from my girls. Me and Mike have a 5 day trip coming up and I am going CRAZY thinking about leaving them.
p.s. I never knew about Lake Las Vegas either. But it is there!
Wow!!! To say that it looks painful doesn't even touch what it really looks like. Glad he came back safe and sound. I got mine back last Saturday. He looked like he had the chicken pox, covered from head to toe is skeeter bites from Scout Camp.
The things us mothers endure...
