My boy

Today Tayler passed the sacrament for the first time. I have to say that I got a little teary eyed watching him. I look at him and I picture his cute little chubby baby hands in mine and his cute little baby voice telling me that he will always love me. Then I blink and he is a young man, a deacon, and he holds the priesthood!

It makes me happy, I am glad he is a good young man and that he is making the right choices. He was so nervous and cute, they had a map of the chapel and he was studying it so that he wouldn't make any mistakes. So sweet, so eager to do everything right. I just love him so much and hope I don't get teary eyed every week.

Good times

We had sooooo much fun with the cousins, we really miss them! We would love to go visit them in Maryland. Thanks for coming and thanks for the memories!!!

Baseball

Sunday we spent time together as a family, lots of visiting and playing games and a little bit of sleeping.

Monday Trudy and Steve decided to not go to St. Helens. We went down to the school and played baseball, and a game we call jackpot with our giant frisbee. Once again I have no pictures because the camera went dead, so I feel fortunate that I got any pictures at all ;o) The kids really had a lot of fun together, just like old times.

Family, family, family

Saturday we went to Cape Mears light house, and right by the light house is this big sitka spruce shaped like an octopus, does this tree look like an octopus? The view from the light house and by the tree are really pretty. One of the big rocks out in the ocean is a little haven for all kinds of birds, they were pretty cool to look at.

Another thing we did on Saturday was we went to a beach by oceanside. The kids wanted to swim and play, well it was soooooo windy that all we did was get sand blasted. I think i was chewing sand all night long. There was a cool tunnel by ocean side that let us walk through a mountain over to another little beach that isn't accessible any other way, so that was kind of cool it's just too bad the wind was blowing so hard we didn't even take pictures because we didn't want the sand to ruin the camera. The wind was very much so like some wind storms in Delta where the kids cuddle around you and close their eyes so that the dirt doesn't hurt.

We love family

Trudy and Steve's family came to visit. It has been four years since we have been together so it was a really nice visit. We went with them to silver falls on Thursday, I totally forgot my camera. Who does that? Especially if they have a blog and are getting addicted to it!!!!???? Crazy! So I have no pictures to post of our day at Silver Falls, it was a beautiful day, not too hot, just right.

Friday we went to Cannon beach to check out the tide pools. They told us that at the beaches they go to there aren't tide pools, as a person still new to the whole ocean thing I did not know that. So we checked out the tide pools at Cannon beach and then we went to Seaside to feed the sea lions. One of the sea lions kept splashing them and I think Cece got the wettest.

The water was nice too, so the kids got wet and pretty much just enjoyed each other. It was a really nice time.
