This and that....

Ok Grandpa here is a picture of the front of our house. I call it the Brady Bunch house, even though it doesn't look like that house.

Here is Emma's room done!!!! Yahoo, one down many to go :)

Here are the fish, we couldn't leave them behind. Because Jackie would have nightmares about her Dad's fish dying. She says it's because they are the only fish we have been able to keep alive, but really it's because she has a soft heart and so does her Mom it's just that her Mom is to tired some days to let the softness show. (Written with Jackie looking over my shoulder)

This is a picture of our back yard, or some of it.

This is us having a good time after our crazy day. Except Hope who probably thinks we are way to loud while she is trying to read. (Just kidding, she is having a good time too)

This is me and Emma looking for a squirrel, didn't see one but the other day I was sitting on the deck when one came up right behind me. I'm not sure if I like the idea of them getting that close but as long as they don't attack us, it should be ok.

Ok I need to let you all know that Hope got asked to Homecoming!!!! Today we went and looked for a dress. Found a beautiful dress, it's sage green and lots of fun. Those pictures will be coming later.
The pictures today are courtesy of Jackie, she just got a new camera that she has been saving money for. Kind of an exciting day!

EARTHQUAKE!!!!

Sunday night we went to bed a little late, it was about 11. I was just getting to the I am totally out stage, when I had this really weird sensation. The bed wasn't really moving but there was a second of weird noise and kind of a bumpy sound.

George and I both said,"what was that" at the same time, so George checked out the house and the kids and then on Monday morning we turned on the news and sure enough at about the time we had the weirdness happen there had been a earthquake down south of us.

I remember when I was younger that Delta had an earthquake, Dad told us about it but we hadn't felt it because we were in the car at the time, any who I remember we were so mean and told Dad we didn't believe him. I still feel bad about that. So Dad, I'm Sorry :( An earthquake is really something and this one was nothing like the one in Delta.

So my first ever earthquake, I hope that is the last for me and that is all I have to say about that (just watched Forest Gump, again :))

Long days!!!

I knew once school started that my blog would slow down and that all of my days would be the same ole' thing day in and day out. So I am going to let you know how my week went.

Around 5:00 every morning I hear Hope's alarm go off, and from then on I am listening to her and then Jackie take a shower, open and shut many doors, shuffle shuffle shuffle as they walk around trying to be quiet (they can't help it that their mother can't sleep through any thing and that their father could sleep through a hurricane), at around 5:45 I drag myself out of bed and get breakfast going.

6:15 we are heading off to early morning seminary. I drop the girls off for the day and head to my friends house to excercise. Denise Austin is harder than I think she should be, and then I head home to jump in the shower.

I hurry to get ready, make sure Tayler and Emma are getting ready and have their lunch, and see if they have brushed their teeth (I still have to ask that every single morning and night, do they ever catch on?) Then we head out the door at 8:25 to catch the bus. So that is every morning.

Monday after Tayler and Emma were off to school, George and I headed out to work. For some of you who don't know, George does PDR and I have learned how to fix rock chip's and we kind of stumbled on fixing fogged head lights. We go to different dealerships on different days, some dealerships have a list of cars to work on and some of the dealerships we walk around the car lot and look for the work and then go get it approved. Not glamorous work but really who has a truly glamorous job?

Tuesday I got a day off, Emma was sick :( So while she read a book and watched a movie I stained our deck (I still hurt really bad, am I getting old or what) I ran to YW, the Laurels were in charge of the activity, so we played dodge ball and if you got hit by a ball you had to memorize a scripture, it was a lot of fun, I haven't played that in a long time.

Wednesday I put the second coat of stain on and worked around the house on the never ending projects :) (I got more sore, is that possible?)

Thursday I fixed 3 rock chips, called my Mom and Dad. Called Judy and visited and then I did some shopping. Oh kind of funny, we went to Costco on the way home and saw the dad off of that show about little people. (Can't remember the name of the show) The Roloff family show. So I saw a celebrity. Came home and had a yummy dinner, and then we cleaned the gutters on the back of the house, we will be investing in some kind of gutter guard, that was yucky.

Friday we will of course work, work, work. Then Tayler has his Lego Robotics club meeting every Friday and Saturday. He really loves it, they build this Robot and then program it to do certain tasks. It really is cool.

I was really going to try hard to make this post all fun and stuff, but I am just to tired :) Really my job isn't hard it is just time consuming. We get home at night, help the kids with homework and work on something that needs to be done at home and then crash. Sounds like fun huh!

First Day for two more

So here is Hope and Tayler on their first day of school. I love how awake an anxious they are to get to seminary and school on time their first day. They both said they had a good time at school and so that is a good thing always. I couldn't resist getting a picture of Tayler and Emma together, they are so cute still. I hope they continue to love school and their teachers for the rest of the year, so far we are off to a good start.

Yahoo school starts today!!

This is Jackie and Emma on their first day of school 2007. Don't they look so happy? Maybe not thrilled but they do look cute. If I hadn't looked so scary I would have a picture of me on here with a totally thrilled look on my face ;)
-----------------------------------------------
I guess I should let you know that Hope and Tayler haven't dropped out of school. They didn't go today because they are older and today was for the younger "new" kids in a school. So Jackie is going to high school for the first time and Emma is going to upper elementary for the first time, so they had the school to themselves with just their age group. Hope and Tayler will be off to school tomorrow. My face will have a totally thrilled look on it all day tomorrow. I might even be skipping.

Our new house

So here is the after shots and a picture of Hope and Jackie's "Dungeon". Obviously the basement is not done. I would like you to focus your attention on the beautiful floors that George and I and the kids have been slaving away over in our evenings and every spare second so that we could move here and be settled in before school started today. Now that you have focused your attention on the floors, picture a nice color of paint on the walls, and pretty paintings and decorations all around. Now that you have pictured all of that, you can see why I moved here. Right??????

Our new house (before)

Ok, I haven't blogged for a while because???? Well because life is full of lots of things to do and not enough time to do it all, right?????

We got the keys to our new house on August 2nd 2007. It took us a little time to decide what we wanted to do??? Move in and fix later or rip out the carpet and do the flooring now. Well we ripped out the carpet and got the bedrooms done and the living and family rooms. We still have the kitchen and the halls to do and then we can work on other things like lighting and counter tops and stuff like that. I told myself a long time ago that I never wanted to live in a unfinished house ever again. Believe me I don't want to live in a unfinished house its just that this house had a lot of things we have been looking for......... so look out never ending projects, here we come.
