Shocked

As you all know I work at alot of different dealerships, well we just started working at a dealership that sales the smart car. They have already sold their allotment of these cars for the 2008 model year.

What kind of gas mileage would you want to get before you would strap yourself into an aluminum can and head down the road? 60 mpg? 80 mpg? Would you settle for a measly 40? I am soooo shocked that that is all it gets, and I am shocked that lots of people would buy them.

Ok that is one thing I find shocking, now for my next shocking thing. Meth users just recently ripped up our communities comcast cable hoping to find copper!!! It angers me and shocks me that someone could be that desperate don't get me wrong it also makes me happy that I don't get it, but seriously if some scary dude or dudette comes to a recycler with a bunch of wire, shouldn't there be some way that people have to prove where the wire came from? Or maybe have a waiting period on the money or have to have a drivers license and if there is a record they can't have the cash? Or take a drug test before they fork the money over to them? It is bad enough that we can't get the good decongestants any more and now anything copper needs to be guarded by a gun toting security person, it just makes me wonder whats next with these drug users, good grief!!

Pine Wood Derby

The Young Men in our ward wanted to have a pine wood derby without all of the rules and regulations. They invited any men in the ward that would like to compete to come also. So of course George jumped right in. To begin with they built the mouse trap car, for Tayler. It is pretty cool, they had fun building it. Then George decided to do one, so he took the motor off of his old remote control car and rigged it up to work with a pinewood derby wood block. I didn't get to see the fun, but I know that the Young Men were really noisy that night :) George's car was such a hit that he ran his over and over and then once going up the track backwards. Tayler's car goes by winding up a string on the axel and then the snap from the mouse trap propels it down the track. He did really well also, he did wind it too tight a couple of times and bent the snappy thing, George said in all Tayler was in third place.

Memories

Looking at all my kids pictures lately has brought back a lot of memories from my childhood.

I remember waking up in the morning, all warm and comfortable. I liked to stay in bed and just listen, and the sound I remember most was the sound of my Mom whistling in the kitchen, sometimes it would be both my Mom and Dad.

What is your favorite childhood sound?

For Hope's Birthday this year we went to the coast with some of her friends, they all had a blast. We spent the night, spent the day shopping and eating things that we shouldn't. It was great.
