Memories

Looking at all my kids pictures lately has brought back a lot of memories from my childhood.

I remember waking up in the morning, all warm and comfortable. I liked to stay in bed and just listen, and the sound I remember most was the sound of my Mom whistling in the kitchen, sometimes it would be both my Mom and Dad.

What is your favorite childhood sound?

My favorite sound is waking up to birds singing outside my window. Or people laughing.

Hard and heavy rain on the roof. I slept on the top bunk and could almost feel it pounding against it.

The sliding glass door. When I heard it from my bed to, I knew my Dad was home and all my family were safe.

The rattle of the latch on the chainlink fence gate. It meant Grandma or Grandpa would soon be here to spoil me.

wow, I remember waking up to you getting ready and the radio, kisn 97! I guess you didn't let me lay in bed and listen to mom whistle, oh and when I had my own room, I got up before mom. interesting.

oh and remember when you would make me get up and tell you what time it was? good times!

as far as a favorite childhood sound? hmmm, I always loved hearing crickets at night when we had the windows open in the summer.
