Go Fish

For FHE we decided to take advantage of a local lake and go fishing. We have only gone fishing a couple of times since we have been married, and every time we have gone we haven't caught anything so it isn't something we do often. I thought it might be a good idea for George to show Tayler how to at least try to catch a fish. I was thinking I would be happy if we got a bite.
Well that must be the trick, don't plan on catching anything and then TADA, you catch some fish :)
So George caught the first one, Tayler caught the second one and then Emma wanted in on the fun and she caught one!! Then George got another one, and he almost got one more and if we were true fishermen and would have had a net we would have had that one too.

Four fish!! That is more than we have caught in our whole married lives, isn't that amazing!! Well I am excited, it was nice to actually do some CATCHING instead of just FISHING.

Different view

This is what it looks like behind our house now. This is the before view, it really is a huge difference even though the picture doesn't really show it.

TIMBER!!

We decided that we needed to open up our back yard a little bit, sooooo we cut down a few trees! What an experience, it was kind of fun to see. I was a little worried they might fall into our house, obviously they did not. George and Tayler went to town sawing away.

A little pushing and pulling and over they went.
Look at that mess, now we have to cut it up and haul it. Yay for more work!! :)

Track and Field

Here she is throwing discus.

Below Jackie is getting ready for the 4x100 relay. Second lane.
Jackie did track and field this year. She threw discus, and ran the 100 meter and the 4x100 meter relay. Yesterday they were in Canby all day for the JV Districts. Jackie didn't get a chance to do the 4x1 because the starting girl disqualified with an early start. She stood there wondering what was going on, there were so many people she couldn't tell what had happened. Hope was a manager and went along to all the track meets also. Maybe next year she will compete? Now that it is all over Jackie is lost and confused and doesn't know what to do with herself.
Her PR (personal records) are......
100 meters - 14.62 seconds
Discus - 57' 7.5
4x100 relay (at another meet) - All together they got 59.63 (Not bad for only a few minutes of practicing. The coaches threw their team together at the last minute.)
The throwing coach also made her try shot, and javelin. She said they were hard and she didn't like them much. she got 16 feet for shot, and 33.5 feet for the javelin.

Gaston Prom

Hope went to Prom last night. She went with a boy from our ward, his name is Nathan. She said it was alot of fun, but really small :) I wonder if it was the size of my Prom, probably smaller. Gaston is a really small town. They went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill. Then to the dance. They had a really good time. Some of you may notice that the dress is the same, you can totally recycle a dress if it is for another schools dance right? Besides that she looks totally awesome in that dress!!

Eleven

Happy Birthday Emma!!!! Today is Emma's birthday, how can my baby be 11!!! The first time they handed her to me she sighed. What a cutie!!

I thought this one was funny, she didn't know what to think about being practically naked. That is a way easier clean up job when dyeing easter eggs.
I love this photo, she is always smiling.
This is Emma's first day of school. Preschool at 4? That seems way to young.

Emma loved to dance, this is her with her good friend Savannah.
Tayler and Emma are such good friends, I love this photo too.

She also loves the BIG swing at the cabin. We all do :) A lazy moment in the hammock, what a fun time.
What did I say, always smiling. This is at Fort Stevens.

Emma and Sam at Grandma's house. They are both sooooo cute!!!

Emma we love you and we hope you have a great day!!
